The property is located on the outskirts of Udaipur, surrounded by hills and greenery, offering a secluded experience away from the city's hustle. Important Observation:
Although the booking was made directly through the StayVista website, HSBC TravelOne did not award the expected 2X travel rewards on this transaction. Nevertheless, the upfront StayVista-HSBC discount combined with reward points still resulted in approximately 15% overall savings.
We initially intended to pay the meal bill using a credit card. However, the villa had almost no mobile network coverage, making it impossible to receive OTPs for online card transactions. With no POS machine available on-site, we had no choice but to complete the payment via UPI since villa wi-fi was working.
Journey to Udaipur
We started our journey from Vadodara on Saturday morning and traveled by road. The drive took approximately eight hours via the Himmatnagar route, which is the most convenient road connection to the villa.
The villa is located nearly 24 km from both Udaipur Railway Station and the old city area. Because of this distance, travelers arriving by train may find transportation slightly inconvenient.

Samar Fatehgarh Villa's biggest strength is its location amidst nature. The property is surrounded by mountains and greenery, creating a peaceful environment with minimal disturbance from nearby development.
The swimming pool was large, clean, and well maintained during our stay. The caretaker was extremely supportive and readily available whenever assistance was required. There was also ample seating space across the property, making it ideal for groups that want to spend time together.
For bachelor groups, the combination of a private villa, pool, music, drinks, and natural surroundings makes for an enjoyable weekend getaway.

While the overall experience was enjoyable, a few issues require attention.
Some basic maintenance work is overdue. Certain door latches were broken, the geyser was not functioning, and the refrigerator was cooling poorly. The villa also lacks an activity room or indoor entertainment options.
The food quality was average, especially the non-vegetarian dishes. Families with young children may also find the property less suitable because of the remote location and limited amenities nearby.

Samar Fatehgarh Villa delivers exactly what many groups of friends seek from a weekend getaway: privacy, mountains, a large pool, open spaces, music, drinks, and uninterrupted time together. While the property has a few maintenance concerns and is far from Udaipur's tourist attractions, it offers excellent value for money for groups prioritizing nature and relaxation over sightseeing.
For around 5,900 per person for 1N/2D, the experience can be highly rewarding, especially for bachelor groups looking for a memorable weekend with friends. We would comfortably recommend it for that purpose.
