Singapore Airport Lounge Experience: 4 Lounges I Visited During My Singapore Trip

One area where I received excellent value was airport lounge access.
During the trip, I used four different lounges (and lounge alternatives) across Ahmedabad and Singapore airports. Apart from the comfort, these lounges also helped save money on meals during transit.
This article is not a technical review. It is simply my personal experience about:
How I got access
Which card I used
What food was available
What I liked and disliked
Whether I would visit again
1. The Lounge, Ahmedabad Airport (Terminal 2)
📅 Date & Time: 28 March 2026, 8:00 PM
🍽 Purpose: Dinner before departure
As our Singapore Airlines flight was scheduled later in the evening, we decided to have dinner at the lounge before boarding.
Lounge Access
One important thing to note is that direct card swipe was not allowed.
You need to download the Adani One App and register your eligible cards before arriving at the airport.

After adding the card and completing tokenization, you can generate a QR code for lounge access.
My suggestion is to complete this process at home. Airport Wi-Fi, OTPs and app verification are not something you want to deal with while travelling.
Card Used
✅ Axis Atlas
The guest access feature on Axis Atlas is quite useful when travelling with family.
Food Experience
The buffet spread was surprisingly good.
My favourites were:
Butter Chicken
Sauteed Vegetables
The rest of the family enjoyed the pasta.
The food was fresh, hot and well stocked throughout our visit.
Overall Impression
The lounge was clean and the food was good.
The only downside was that it felt slightly crowded and seating was almost fully occupied.

2. Changi Lounge, Jewel Changi Airport
📅 Date & Time: 29 March 2026, 9:00 AM
🍽 Purpose: Breakfast after arrival
This lounge is located inside Jewel Changi, near the famous Rain Vortex attraction.
In my opinion, this was one of the best lounge experiences of the entire trip.
Lounge Access
Direct swipe was not accepted.
You need a Priority Pass QR code.
Before travelling, make sure your Priority Pass account is linked and activated.
Priority Pass App:
Diners Black Metal cardholders can also access Priority Pass through the Diners app.
Cards Used
✅ Axis Atlas for 2 Pax
✅ Diners Black Metal for 1 Pax
A useful feature of Axis Atlas is that it allows guest access, which helped cover two passengers using a single Priority Pass membership.
For add-on cardholders, create a separate Priority Pass account before travelling.
Food Experience
The entry included:
3 hours lounge access
Unlimited snacks
Unlimited beverages
One hot dish
One beer per person
I wasn't particularly interested in beer at 9 AM, so I simply took it along for later.
The highlight of the menu for me was definitely the Dumpling Platter.
Highly recommended.
Overall Impression
Everything about this lounge felt premium.
The biggest surprise was how empty it was.
After a long overnight flight, having a quiet place to freshen up and enjoy breakfast made a huge difference.
My Rating: 5/5
Would happily visit again.
3. Kaveri Indian Vegetarian, Changi Terminal 2
📅 Date & Time: 7 April 2026, 1:00 PM
🍽 Purpose: Lunch before departure
Technically, this is not a lounge.
It is a restaurant that accepts LoungeKey access.
However, if you're an Indian traveller craving proper Indian food after several days abroad, this may actually be better than a traditional lounge.
Lounge Access
Unlike most lounges, the card could be swiped directly.
I used my HSBC TravelOne cards.
It is still a good idea to register on LoungeKey beforehand.
A temporary charge of around USD 35 may appear initially.
Don't worry.
Even though complimentary lounge access was available, the authorization transaction still appeared but never got settled later.

A LoungeKey slip was generated in the cardholder's name for verification.
Food Experience
The quantity was huge.
The combinations available were excellent.

Honestly, it felt like much more food than two people could comfortably finish.
Overall Impression
The food quality was excellent.
After eating various cuisines throughout the trip, having authentic Indian food before the flight home felt very satisfying.

One of the most practical uses of lounge access during the trip.
4. Ambassador Transit Lounge, Changi Terminal 2
📅 Date & Time: 7 April 2026, 5:00 PM
🍽 Purpose: Early dinner before departure
This was the final lounge of the trip and probably the most crowded.
Lounge Access
Direct swipe was not accepted.
Priority Pass access was used.
Cards Used
✅ Axis Atlas for 2 Pax
✅ Diners Black Metal for 1 Pax
Food Experience
The buffet spread was generous and much larger than I expected.
There were:
Hot dishes
Salads
Snacks
Desserts
Beverages
One interesting benefit was the alcohol offering.
Each lounge entry included vouchers for drinks.
For travelers who enjoy a drink before a flight, this adds significant value.
Overall Impression
Despite being busy, the lounge was well managed.
Food quality was good and there was enough variety to enjoy a proper meal before boarding.
Among the lounges in Terminal 2, this would probably be my first choice.

A great way to end the Singapore trip.
My Final Ranking
After visiting all four locations, this would be my personal ranking:

That said, each served a different purpose, and I genuinely enjoyed all of them.
Final Thoughts
One thing I realised during this trip is that lounge access is about much more than comfortable seating.
Used properly, it can provide:
✅ Fresh meals during transit
✅ A place to relax between flights
✅ Better travel experience for families
✅ Savings on airport food and beverages
✅ Additional value from the credit cards you already hold
For this trip, a combination of Axis Atlas, Diners Black Metal and HSBC TravelOne allowed me to access lounges worth thousands of rupees without paying any additional access fees.
If you're planning a Singapore trip, don't wait until the airport to figure out lounge access. Spend some time understanding the benefits on your cards, download the required apps, complete registrations in advance, and you'll have a much smoother travel experience.
Sometimes, the most valuable part of a travel credit card isn't the points. It's the comfort and convenience it gives you before the journey even begins. ✈️💳🌏
