Fairmont Jaipur Review: Our ₹70,000 Luxury Stay for Just ₹37,700 Using Accor Plus & Accor Gold

When luxury stays in India are discussed, Fairmont Jaipur is often among the most aspirational properties. With room rates frequently crossing ₹30,000 per night, it is not necessarily a hotel most families would book for a casual weekend. Yet, through a combination of Accor Plus Explorer, Accor Gold Status, reward points, and strategic credit card usage, this dream stay became surprisingly affordable.
This was not a sightseeing trip. My family and I had already visited Jaipur earlier in 2025. This trip had only one objective:
Experience Fairmont Jaipur itself.

How This Booking Happened
For a long time, I had been tracking prices at Fairmont Jaipur. Being one of the premium luxury brands under Accor, prices generally remain above ₹30,000 per night.
Fortunately, I happened to come across a long-weekend package priced around ₹45,000 for two nights including:
Breakfast
High Tea
Dinner
for the entire stay.
Standard buffet menu for Lunch, HiTea and Dinner at Fairmont Jaipur.
At the same time, I still had one unused Stay Plus Night from my Accor Plus Explorer membership. One Stay Plus Night had already been used earlier at Pullman Hill Street Singapore, and the second voucher was nearing expiry. The pricing opportunity combined with the available voucher made the booking impossible to ignore.
I immediately booked the stay.
A pleasant surprise was that although the booking voucher did not explicitly mention meal inclusions on the Stay Plus Night booking, the hotel still honored the complete Half Board package. I would strongly advise obtaining email confirmation before expecting the same outcome on future bookings.
Booking Strategy & Payment Plan
The booking was completed through the ALL Accor App using one Stay Plus Night redemption. Since room charges linked to Stay Plus Night reservations cannot be settled using Accor Reward Points, payment had to be made separately.

The majority of savings came from membership benefits rather than credit card rewards.
Journey from Vadodara to Jaipur
Since there is no practical direct flight from Vadodara, we decided to travel by train. The journey takes approximately 12 hours. Interestingly, both First AC and Second AC tickets sold out almost immediately after opening, leaving us with a 3AC booking for the onward journey.
The tickets for three passengers cost ₹3,612 and were booked through HDFC SmartBuy to earn additional rewards.
The trip began with a ₹200 Uber ride to the railway station, paid through Amazon Pay using the SBI Cashback Card for 5% cashback.
After arriving at Jaipur railway station, another Uber ride costing ₹336 brought us to Fairmont Jaipur around 1 PM.
The first glimpse of the palace-like architecture immediately justified all the anticipation.
Day 1: First Impressions of the Palace
One of the most pleasant surprises came even before entering the room.
My request for early check-in was approved, allowing us to check in approximately two hours before the official check-in time due to Accor Gold status.
Even better, the booked base-category room was upgraded to a Fairmont Gold Room.
The room felt grand from the moment we entered.

Although the upgrade did not include Gold Lounge access, Accor Gold status added meaningful value throughout the stay.

However, upgraded guests only receive lounge access if granted by the property. Platinum and Diamond members generally receive complimentary access.
Lunch That Changed My Expectations
After settling into the room, we ordered Dal Zoya and Naan. Meanwhile, lunch was prepared, I consumed my 2 beer vouchers.
The food was exceptional.
Luxury hotels sometimes prioritize presentation over taste, but this was one of the few occasions where both excelled. The flavors were rich without being overly spicy, oily, or salty.
Lunch cost ₹1,313 after receiving the applicable room dining discount.
High Tea, Activities & Evening Experiences
We missed the palace walk on the first day but managed to attend the High Tea session.
Calling it high tea would actually be an understatement.
The spread felt more like a mini dinner buffet, with an impressive variety of snacks and desserts.
The rest of the evening included:

Traditional puppet show
Mashaal lighting ceremony
Champagne tasting
Folk dance performances
We even stepped outside the property briefly, only to realize how isolated the location is. Returning to the palace atmosphere felt like the right decision.
Dinner: Easily One of the Best Hotel Buffets I've Experienced
Dinner was arguably the highlight of Day 1.
The buffet variety was overwhelming. I genuinely struggled to decide what to eat and what to skip.
What impressed me most was how flavorful everything was without relying heavily on oil, spices, or salt. Most luxury hotel buffets play it safe; Fairmont managed to be both refined and delicious.
Food Rating: 10/10
The service was equally impressive.
Day 2: Great Property, One Minor Service Issue
I had planned to attend the 6:30 AM yoga session but ended up waking significantly later than intended.
Breakfast offered another extraordinary spread.
The only issue of the stay occurred here.
We placed orders at the live Dosa and Omelette counters after being approached by a staff member. Unfortunately, the orders never arrived due to confusion arising from wedding-related high occupancy.
The issue itself was minor.
What impressed me was how the hotel handled it later.
Swimming at Raffles Jaipur
Due to a wedding setup at Fairmont's pool, we decided to visit the pool at Raffles Jaipur.
The infinity pool itself was beautiful.
Unfortunately, the guest behavior significantly reduced the experience. The pool became crowded, many guests ignored basic swimming etiquette, and the environment felt less premium than expected.
After some time, I reported the concerns to the staff and eventually stopped using the pool.

Palace Walk & Sunset Views
Following another lunch featuring the excellent Dal Zoya, we joined the 4 PM Palace Walk activity.

The terrace views were another hidden gem.
If you're visiting Fairmont Jaipur, make sure to visit the terrace before sunset. The city views are spectacular.
An Evening at Anjum Bar
Later that evening, my family returned to the room while I headed to Anjum, the lobby bar.
This turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of the trip.
The three complimentary Accor Gold drink vouchers were redeemed for cocktails worth approximately ₹4,050.
Instead of ordering standard menu items, I described my preferred taste profile to the bartenders.
The result was outstanding.
Several cocktails were customized specifically around my preferences, accompanied by live music and exceptional service.
It was one of those experiences that genuinely justify luxury hospitality.
Day 3: Service Recovery Done Right
The breakfast experience on Day 3 was completely different.
The entire hospitality team went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect.
Multiple staff members attended to us proactively. Orders arrived promptly, service was
flawless, and every detail was carefully managed.
The interesting part is that the Day 2 issue wasn't even significant.
Yet the seriousness with which Fairmont treated it explained exactly why the hotel enjoys such strong guest ratings.
A Checkout Gesture We Didn't Expect
At checkout, I settled the final bills.
The food and beverage bill totaled ₹5,858.
Out of this:
₹4,430 was paid using Accor Reward Points
₹1,428 was paid using Axis Atlas
Then came the surprise.
Since the hotel learned that we had a long train journey ahead, they packed food for our return trip.
The package included:
2 Parathas
Poha
8 Idlis with chutney
4 Danish pastries
It was a thoughtful and memorable gesture.
The Only Major Disappointment
Ironically, the worst part of the trip happened after checkout.
Uber drivers repeatedly accepted rides and then demanded amounts far above the fare shown in the app.
After cancelling multiple rides, we eventually paid approximately ₹1,000 cash for a trip that was originally showing around ₹325.
Thankfully, this remained the only genuine disappointment of the vacation.
The Journey Back Home
For the return journey, we secured First AC tickets costing approximately ₹8,500 for three passengers.
The packed food from Fairmont became our lunch.
Later, we enjoyed the famous dal pakoda and kulhad tea at Sawai Madhopur station for ₹210.
Dinner was ordered through Swiggy on Train from Ratlam for 383 INR. It was paid by swiggy money for 10% rewards thru smartbuy vouchers.
The delivery experience was flawless and the Dal Khichdi, Fried Rice, and Chaas turned out much better than expected.
Finally, we reached home around 1 AM and completed the journey with a ₹200 Uber ride.

Fairmont Jaipur delivered everything I hoped for from a luxury palace stay. The magnificent architecture, excellent food, thoughtful gestures, memorable activities, room upgrade, and elite member recognition combined to create one of the finest family vacations we have experienced.
More importantly, this trip reinforced an important lesson for points and miles enthusiasts:
Luxury travel is not always about spending more. It is about understanding loyalty programs and maximizing opportunities.
For this trip, the memberships created most of the luxury, while the credit cards enhanced the overall value.
And that, perhaps, was the biggest success story of this Fairmont Jaipur getaway.
